Story Development
Then what happens?

I wasn't sure this project would end up being a comic book - developing the story would help me decide. Storyboards, on trading card sized pieces of paper, worked out perfectly. After choosing the shape and size of a page, 3 stacked cards make up the starting point for a page's breakdown. In this picture, the upper 3 columns could be the first three pages - though they will change significantly. The bottom 3 columns show how I started experimenting with color and shading, to express more emotional tone and make drawing these "story sketch cards" a more useful exercise.
